This weekend some blog friends all came down to San Antonio to run the Neon Dash. I know a few of these beautiful bloggers in real life, but hadn’t met everyone. I tell you teachers are just the most fun, right?! I made new friends and caught up with old friends.
We all started downtown San Antonio at the Riverwalk. The first two days truly consisted of eating to shop and shopping to eat. #yum I couldn’t get there until halfway through Friday, so my pics of this era are spotty at best.
On day two of shopping we took this cute picture! This was in Bracken Village after shopping at Bless Your Heart Boutique. #obsessed

As it started to get a little late, we realized that we needed to get changed into our race running walking gear. And by gear, I mean neon tutu’s and other 80’s attire. #itnevergetsold
I can’t remember how it started, but heading to my classroom to change was brought up and a quick text to my AP Julie was all we needed to make it happen. She’s the best!!
Now if you are reading this, you are likely a teacher so you understand what your classroom looks like after a sub day at the end of March… I was having some internal freak outs as we walked our way to the room. I used to be organized but now I am just hoardergonized. {Open the cupboard and shove until Summer comes}
As we walked into the room I held the door.
I found everyone like this taking a selfie on the library floor. My heart melted with love for these ladies.
So of course I threw myself into the picture.
Next we decided to take a group shot in front of the word wall. Where else is as glamorous?
Then we became 1988. Like totally awesome.
Could I love this girl more? NO! She mentioned that she left me some love notes to find in my classroom. Seriously love her.
TOO Cute!
Blog BFFs
We HAD to make one more stop because you don’t visit Texas in the Spring without taking pictures in the bluebonnets!
Although I took 834 pictures of everyone in the bluebonnets, I can’t find a single one on my camera but I am sure they will surface at some point in blog land.
We took this picture after we had a little moment by this tree. At this point having all of these incredible virtual friends in my neighborhood, school, and little classroom had made my little blog heart explode. #permasmile
Race complete!

Looks like fun! I am totally hoardergonized too. haha
I loved this weekend!! Truly it was the #bestweekendever! 😉
I'm glad you all had fun! Blog friends are the best <3

I love "hoardergonized"! I wish that only described me at this time of year; unfortunately, it describes me beginning about week 2 of school. Hoping to have the opportunity to meet all of you in Vegas this summer!

Fun fun fun!!! I want to come next time! 🙂
Hoardergonized – ha. love it! I don't want to admit it, but I'm sure that could be used to describe my organizing come the last few months of the school year!
That neon run looks like a blast – glad you guys had such a great weekend!
Love to Learn
Looks like so much fun!!! You ladies are inspiring!!! I'm a little jealous, too…I'm only about 3 hours from San Antonio!
So funny I didn't realize you were in San Antonio! We live in the big town of Boerne up north of you 🙂 I'm not a professional teacher but do part-time homeschool (my youngest is in Kinder at Summit Christian Academy two days a week) I'll invite you to come out and walk/run with us in a couple of upcoming events (and invite your teacher friends too!) Both are in May. The first is actually is a fundraiser for our school, Summit Christian Academy, and is on May 3rd out off Scenic Loop in the Leon Springs area north of SA. This is our first fundraising race and will have 10/5/1k races that day. https://runsignup.com/Race/TX/SanAntonio/SCAWarriorsforChrist The second race is the following weekend and I love that it benefits adopting/fostering parents. It's called the OneLess race. It's at the beautiful Joshua Springs Ranch & Preserve park out off 10 past Boerne on May 10th. http://www.onelessrace.com/ Would love to meet you in person if you're able to come! I'm just a "walker" but love to get out there and walk as fast as I can 🙂 Will have to do the Neon next year!!!
You girls are absolutely adorable. That looks like so much fun!! 🙂 Thanks for such a fun filled post! 🙂
