What a wonderful group of educators to put this together and help out a family. Thoughts and prayers are sent their way as they prepare for the surgery and the new normal to come. As the wife to a critically and catastrophically wounded warrior, I know how alarming a new medical event and the "new normal" can have on one's life. I am keeping Emma in my thoughts as she becomes resilient and adapts and enlarges her heart. I have seen it in my own child as he dealt with daddy's injuries and differences. My love to all! I will be donating now to this fellow Texas family!
What a wonderful, thoughtful thing for you all to do. One of my students lost his father in a plane crash 2 weeks ago…..devastating does not begin to describe it! He also has twin siblings in 1st grade. It's hard to even begin to imagine what their mother must be going through knowing she is now alone! We did a fundraiser at another business I own and were able to raise a large amount of money. I know it's not enough to help long term, but people just want to help ease the burden and this is such a wonderful way to do that!
