If there was a college course on bulletin boards I would have been signed up and sitting in the front row. In my journal in high school instead of doodling boy’s names and hearts, I was sketching out how I would make my bulletin boards when I had my own classroom. It is something that I LOVE about teaching. You can bet that when the pressure is on and data needs to be entered, I am in the hall putting up a new board. It is my stress relief and my happy place. So I decided it would be fun {at least for me the bulletin board weirdo} to do a post all about this year’s bulletin boards. I do have a confession….I added in two from last year because I haven’t gotten to those yet this year but I wanted to share them anyway!
Starting Off the Year
Each child’s first day of school picture goes in here. Home depot rulers cut and hot glued into frames.

November Adjectives Big Smelly Bear
(no separate blog post on this one)
For this bulletin board I had students write two adjectives to describe bear and write them on a red bow tie shape. I wish I had templates to share but I have no idea where I put them. I just hand drew them one day at school and ran them on construction paper.

I love your bulletin boards, especially all the ones that use photographs. I did a similar post about a year of bulletin boards. I think I may have to add your Washington bulletin board to my repertoire.

So amazing! You have one of the cutest classrooms I've ever seen, too! How do you do it all, Reagan!? You are so talented!!!
This is funny to me because I am horrible at bulletin boards and I dread having to do them. But I don't mind entering data! Thank you for this post…it gave me a lot of great ideas for doing bulletin boards in my classroom. Very inspiring!
I love this post! I wish they had a college class on bulletin board decorating! It would be fantastic! Don't they realize this is just as crucial to data entering and assessment? Decorating bulletin boards is one of the things I am most looking forward to in student teaching! I can't wait to get my hands on a bulletin board and get creative! I absolutely love the We Measure Up To A Great Class one! So cute! You have the best ideas! Thanks for sharing!

so. jealous. I'm not sure WHY people who design schools don't think they need to put actual bulletin boards.
Loving the "Techy Santa" and "George Washinton" boards! The symmetry activity looks pretty fun too!
