If you are looking to get ahead on your math centers for next week, I have put the finishing touches on my October math centers!
Here’s a peek!
This Unit has 10 math centers aligned to the common core. These are
designed for first grade, but high kinder or low second would benefit
from this practice as well!
This was made with a busy teacher in mind! Print laminate and you are READY! The skills in this are perfect for beginning first graders. I made these with my firsties in mind. They are realistic and meaningful.
List of Centers and Skills Taught:
Skip Count and Write:
Skip Counting with pictorial clues 2s, 5s, and 10s. Includes fun activity and recording sheet
Kooky Number Sentences:
Matching pictorial number sentences with numeral number sentences. Includes fun activity and recording sheet
Fly Away Bats!:
Adding two dice and covering bats in a cave.
Pumpkin Place Value:
A beginning place value activity. Students spin a spinner and cover ten
pumpkins to work their way up the tens ladder to 100. Great intro to
place value.
Slide to 120:
Similar to chutes and ladders, students roll and move on a 120 chart but
can take short cuts when they land on a spider web. They must know the
missing number to land on a short cut.
Spinning Spiders:
Adding two spinner numbers and covering spider webs.
Catch a Bug:
solve addition to 10 and place the bug on the web. Includes recording sheet with additional practice.
Compare and Order:
Students compare and order the length of objects and place them under
shortest, long, longest. Cut and paste activity sheet included.
Who Lives in my House?
Number sentence relationships. Fact families. This is a beginning
center to help students see how numbers are related in a fact family.
Includes a recording sheet.
Time to Go Batty!
Telling Time to the Hour. Digital and analog clock match up with recording sheet.

I'd love to know how you "do" math centers…since you always have 10 in your math centers…and they last a pretty long while (accroding to your visual plans..lol)…sooo…how do you set up your math centers?? not as in organize, but as in execute – guided math groups/centers and such… 🙂
Your math center activities all look wonderful. Very cute and very creative.
