Since my room changed so much this year, I bought fabric. LOTS of it. But now that the curtains, pillows, and seat sacks are complete, there was just one glaring problem. Mismatched, old, and stained mouse pads. {my own kids snack at the computers after school}
So I took a look at the extra fabric, the nasty old mouse pads, and I decided to see what I could do!
Let me break it down: {yes you can do a little beat boxing here…………..and stop}
In The Forest {subdivision} our lush greenery is more brownery these days…
So today when I came home from the grocery store…I got this greeting.
Usually they run and scamper away if a car or person makes a noise or takes a step toward them…But not so much today….In fact, I am not sure if you can see it or not, but this deer has a tangled up net on his right antler. He’s totally crazed. I stayed in my car a long time. Finally he ran off. I brought in an entire car full of groceries in one trip. I may never use my right pinky again.

I love your mouse pads!! What a clever idea! Spray adhesive is the best!

Mrs. Bremer’s Kindergarten
Oh Reagan, our grass looks like that in patches, too, from chinch bugs – YUK! But we've finally gotten some rain so maybe they'll go away. Your mouse pad is adorable!
Thanks for commenting at the Corner yesterday; the keynote was a BLAST.

LOVE your mouse pads. Great idea! Thanks for sharing how to do it!

Fun in Room 4B
Love the mousepads girl! What a smart idea! I'd be scared to leave my car too if that deer was waiting for me.
Adventures of a Third Grade Teacher
I just read an article about animals in drought regions. I think you have thirsty deer!
I'd keep my eye on that bugger. One morning you'll wake up and he'll be sitting in your kitchen drinking an orange juice. Or maybe coffee. You just never know with deer!

An Apple a Day in First Grade
I need fabric now.
Bambi looks upset—-I might have driven away.
The Littles stand and stare at me like that when I pull in the drive. Sometimes I just drive away.
Mouse pads? You may need a fabric intervention- please tell Genius Boy not to sit still for too long- he might get reupholstered,too!

I think it's fair to say it takes one to know one Missy Fabric Glue. 🙂
Yet another genius idea!! You are too creative : )
Hopefully ya'll are getting some of the rain from the front coming through. I'm keeping my fingers crossed we get some today/tomorrow down south! We have tons of deer in our neighboorhood also and I put a cat litter pan filled up with water for them a few days a week!

For the Love of First Grade
I wish some of your fab designing skills would rub off on me. =)
I meet my kiddos this coming up Thursday too! I am giving my little ones a TOP SECRET card that contains ready confetti and jitter glitter. If you don't already do this, I would love for you to come and check it out. =)
You can see what I am doing with my birthday bubbles too!
I always feel like I need to break out the mod podge after visiting you…you are an inspiration. =)

I LOVE your mouse pad idea! I am a first year teacher and trying to make every penny count. I have horrible mouse pads and also a little extra fabric. Thanks for the idea:)
That makeover is really awesome! Also, that fabric that you used is so attractive. I'd also like to commend you for doing such an amazing job with it!
