OLD SCHOOL-You share a picture of you from your first year {or as close as you can get}
NEW SCHOOL- Share a picture of you with your class from this year!
So here’s my OLD SCHOOL picture
This is circa 1996. These kids are in their 20’s now. what what? How is that possible? I am in my 20s too…{ahem} moving on.
This is the door to my first classroom. It was a portable OUT IN THE MIDDLE OF NOWHERE. It was about a half mile to the building. {ok maybe a quarter mile} We didn’t have phones in our rooms. We didn’t have cell phones. NO EMAIL. NO COMPUTERS. {just a computer room in the school}
If you got any communication from parents or the office it was hand delivered. OLD SCHOOL! You could see them coming for ages so by the time you heard the person clomping up the ramp we already had guessed what the delivery was about.
This is second grade. I taught that for 3 years and then kinder for one year and the rest has all been first grade. 15 years total.
NEW SCHOOL pictures!
We are the HAWKS. This was last year’s class.
This is this year’s class. It was crazy hair day. I don’t normally wear glitter bows on my forehead.
macbooks for every kid, ipods, 5 classroom computers, you tube, The
