First on the list are Fun Fraction Freebies!
This is what we did today. It was fabulous! I will do it every year from now on!
I have seen this around, but I saw it again last night on Fun For First and had to do it rainbow style to match our rainbow lovin room! Here’s a visual!
We
messed up the rainbow and put blue before green, because I cut the
strips out in the wrong order and it just spiraled out of control from
there.
They noticed it right away and we had a talk about our mixed up rainbow!!!
Now our room has even more cheery color!
The First Freebie for you is a fraction activity.
This one is called Fraction Sandwiches! Click the document to download it.
I
don’t use the blackline bread I just give them squares of brown
construction paper. But for those that like to have a blackline I went
ahead and made it.
Next, I messed up on my Spring Daily Language Review! I duplicated page one and two and they are almost identical. I have already fixed it in my store so you can re download it for free by clicking the picture of the unit or you can just take the freebie page two that I fixed! Then you don’t need to redownload the entire file. I feel terrible! I am squishing up my nose and tensing up my shoulders. Please forgive me!
Another freebie I have to share is a Spelling Freebie that we used today.
Our team decided to review and test our students on their first grade no excuse words.
I gave ten of them today along with 3 dictation sentences to see how their conventions and organization are coming along.
So many can ace the spelling portion and then forget capitals, spaces, and punctuation! They enjoyed this little surprise test! I KNOW the next one will be so much better for most of them!
CLICK the paper if you want to do it too. I made kinder, first and second grade titles so when you open the file just print the part that pertains to your grade level. (only showing first grade here)
Also I have to share one of the letters that I have received from my students in our letter writing this week.
This letter states that I am (Best Teacher) but then lets me know that it is time to take down the Easter decorations. I also got a letter that said Hi Reagan as the greeting. Seriously! Oh no she didn’t use my first name!!! There was also one tear jerker letter about wanting to live in the class on the weekend and at night. It was bursting with LOVE and I choked up. No round file for that precious letter.
So here’s my letter writing paper in a pdf this time. You can’t edit it
but some friends let me know they had trouble with the editable file so
here it is again. If you missed the post about letter writing you can
read it {HERE} Otherwise, click the paper below to get the paper
that folds into an envelope.
Have a WONDERFUL night! I am off to finish Catching Fire!!!!

Would not have noticed the color mix up. Really.
Your classroom is beautiful!

Thanks for the freebies! We are doing fractions next week. It's a good thing we weren't writing letters this week. Two days in a row, one of my girls who got upset with me, wrote "I don't like Ms. Dugan." I cleaned it off and told the class that I knew who had done it and I would appreciate it if the student would quit writing on furniture and just put it on paper, oh and sign his/her name. Sure enough, she got upset with me again that day and she wrote me a note and signed her name! 😉 I guess she felt bad, a little later she wrote another note telling me she was sorry. haha
I'd love for you to be one of my followers, I'm just getting going.

I just said your pictures make me mad (the size, the number of kids, the MACS) and showed the hubby. He said, "Why? Go work with Reagan." There you go. Make room – I'm on my way!!!!
A Teeny Tiny Teacher
That letter is too funny! My class harasses me for having my holiday stuff up for too long too…. but usually it is like far beyond the appropriate time to leave the decorations up. Like over last weekend I just took down some Valentine's Day hearts……… haha!
Marvelous Multiagers!
I LOVE your room Reagan! You have lamps, curtains and I know that book barn/house is in there somewhere:) I was a little taken back by the Macs too! But still…24 for the first graders? Wow! We never had that in my school!
I love the fraction sandwiches. I wanted to do fraction cookies to go along with it, but can't replicate the font. Could you do this post again and title it Fraction Cookies?
Thank you for the freebies! love your blog!
email me and I will make it for ya!
You better make a lot of room because I am coming with Kristin to teach with you!
We have laptop carts so I am not jealous about your computers….but the size of your classroom…hello??!!???? If you are talking about fractions, my room is 1/4 the size of yours!
Thank you for another awesome post! =)
