Hey Friends!!!
Let’s get to the scarf first then we can go to Antarctica!
If you didn’t read my last post with the story of this scarf you can do that HERE
Farley and I are totally and completely IN LOVE with this scarf with GIRAFFES on it.
So here’s our photo shoot!
I think Farley and Dori wear it SO dang well I almost didn’t post my pics. When my dogs saw her dog they were smitten and HAD to get one too.
Have I told ya’ll how much I ADORE Farley????!!!!
I will also post a tiny bit here about teaching because I also really love that too!!!
Today we created our Penguin Unit Folders and made our passports. We weighed and measured ourselves {data to be used later when we see how much those penguins weigh and measure!}
Then we packed our suitcase for Antarctica as first grade scientists heading on an expedition. We read poems about Antarctica and watched 2 videos about how to travel there. The pictures were breathtaking and we actually felt like we had made the LONG voyage by boat. When the boat started cracking through the ice the students actually gasped and squealed. {me too!} When we saw the first penguin on the ice they all screamed, “A PENGUIN”. It was SUCH a fun afternoon!

Hi Reagan:
It's going to be close to 80 by the end of the week… but that is not going to keep me from going to Target to look for a scarf!
I love that stuffed animals and a DS made it into the Antarctica suitcase. Little ones are so sweet. (I'm not sure I want to know what the sixth graders would pack!) And I so LOVE that you edged the chart.
I want to sit next to Jill in your class!

Oh my goodness!! I LOVE your dog photos!!! You are just too cute, Reagan!
So cute! I am jealous of your penguin unit! It is one of the things I miss about moving from 1st grade. We made suitcases out of file folders and then students packed the "suitcase" with their items, from magazines, ads, and catalogs!

Loving the pictures of you, Farley, and your adorable dogs!
I love subbing during penguin units. One time I got to introduce Antarctica and the teacher had me wheel out a suitcase and pull out each item one at a time as the kids guessed where we were going. It was so fun!

I love your new look!
Love it-looks great on people and on dogs! I have an out of control scarf collection, so this post totally fed my scarf addiction. I snatched up the only one at my Target and I think I need to wear it on Valentine's day since it is so happy and pink!
