Our school insists on dressing up every year for Halloween. My creativity has had it’s ups and downs over the last few years, but this year I am straight up OUT OF IDEAS! I thought it might be fun to see what my super adorably creative bloggy friends professional colleagues had up their sleeves for Halloween costumes. You can share something from the past, or something you are working on. I would LOVE to peek at your costume or even hear about your idea and how you might make it! Does your school dress up? Do you have a contest? Are you so pumped that Halloween is on a Monday this year? 🙂
These are my workout buddies at school. Last year we would
enter running races to keep ourselves motivated. So it was easy to just
wear running clothes with a few embellishments. I am the second from the left. Not exactly award winning, but SO FUN and comfortable to wear at work!

My son is a computer genius.
{totally not exaggerating–he actually
makes money fixing computers after school}

So he was a geek squad guy.
He would live in Best Buy if we would allow it.

This year I am dressing up with one of my other co-teachers as beauty queens.. Neither one of us are much for the fluffy dresses, tons of makeup, heels, ect. so we think that everyone will get a complete great kick out of along with the kids. Can't wait to show pictures of our dresses, tiaras, and sashes that we have planned.
Our other backup plans were..
Baseball Players and Disco Chicks
Love your blog by the way.. Would love for you to stop by my new blog that just launched – http://teachinginstyle.blogspot.com/
We have Book Character day in November but don't dress up for Halloween. My team and I have dressed up as The Little Old Lady That Swallowed A…. We each picked a different one and I had the leaves. It was super easy! This year we are dressing up as a Princess from different fairy tales. I am doing the Frog Princess and all my students are going to dress up as a frogs. The whole school gets into it.
My teammates and I are dressing up as ladybugs we found wings at the dollar store and are going to make tutus from directions we found on Pinterest. In the past teams at my school have dressed up as crayons, story book characters, legos, dominoes, the whole school staff did street signs a few years ago, in 2nd grade a few years back we all dressed up as different versions of cinderella and carried our books, presents, and candy bars! Hope this helps!

One year, my team and I dressed up as the characters from The Wizard of Oz- we had a Dorothy, a lion, a tin (wo)man, a scarecrow, the Wicked Witch of the West. Another year, we involved all of our kids- we did 101 Dalmatians: we had a Cruella, two "Bad'uns" (Horace and Jasper) and all the kids brought in white t-shirts so we could paint black spots on them. They were the Dalmatians! Very cute!
I always dress up as Miss Frizzle, my kindergartners LOVE it. Sometimes, I even bust out the wig & outfits throughout the year, almost like in Miss Nelson is missing!
