I am home from Meet the Teacher Night and it was a great success! I met almost all of my new little first graders. I am so excited about teaching my 14th year. I teach in the hill country and on my beautiful country drive home I thought about how much support there is in the blogging world. It’s so wonderful! I don’t have any freebies or printables to share tonight…due to sheer exhaustion…but once I am all adjusted to the new schedule I will crank it back up. I will leave you with this picture of my drive home.

I like to get to school when it's dark, too! Well… I guess I don't enjoy it I just HAVE to! haha
I'm an early riser as well. I love the quiet and contentment I feel, puttering away in my classroom preparing for my second graders each morning. I feel so much more prepared getting there early to put the finishing touches on whatever I was working on the day before that I left waiting. Have a marvelous year!
