I am posting the measurements to my book barn. So…I know it isn’t leaving much time for book barn building, but…here goes! (also I find it incredibly unfair that some of you may have talent for building as well as blogging!!!!!)
The book barn story…I found this barn on craigslist after my husband searched for a bookshelf in our area…he called me in his mancave and told me I HAD to see what he had found. This beauty was only a mile away. I am posting the pictures of my measurements, but if you clicked the first picture you can grab the pdf. Also…be kind…my barn is well loved….she used to have shiny white trim and fresh paint…now she is showing her battle scars. Let’s just say I am going for the rustic shabby chic look!

I love the barn. My hubby has some things on his to do list yet this summer!! I will have to share this with him!!

Oh – this is sooo inspiring. Thanks for posting the dimensions!
How cool are you for posting this. I love your book barn and just pinned it on pinterest!
Thanks again for sharing and I love the shabby look!!
My husband just finished my book barn tonight — guessing at the dimensions — and it looks great. Now, if it will just fit thru the door to my classroom! I loved yours the first time I saw it — thank you for sharing!
Funny you should say that…Mine doesn't fit through my door by an inch…so every summer our custodians break it to get it out of the room while they are waxing…that is why the trim is all broken and messed up. I just hot glue it in the fall when I come back! Post your book barn pics or email me! I would love to see!
Thanks so much for the follow up with the dimensions. Really appreciate it!!
That is incredibly adorable! I have such a tiny classroom that I doubt I could do something like that, but I would love to.
That is absolutely prescious… I am doing an ocena theme I am wondering how I could make a boat with reading shelves…. you have inspired me.

I posted a picture of my barn on my blog — I can't figure out any other way to show you. It's called "Growing my Kindergarten." I have no followers because this is the first — and maybe even last — cool thing I have to share. I am totally addicted to reading all the wonderful teaching blogs, though — they share so many creative ideas — thanks to all of you!
I found you because Gladys at Teaching in High Heels featured you and I'm so glad she did! Your book barn is adorable and so is all your other stuff! I'm your newest follower! 🙂

THANK YOU for sharing!! Now……I just need to find someone to build it for me 😉
Thank you!!!
I'm very very glad I found the picture of your Book Barn at the beginning of the summer so I had the month of July to build my own! For those of you that are inspired to build your own (or have someone else build it for you), I have made a blog that is step-by-step instructions. The dimensions are almost exactly the same (can't believe I actually guessed correctly!). You can search for KinderTrish, or click on the link below:
