Thoughts of a Third Grade Teacher
Thanks!
Your room is so cozy!! You are lucky to have all that storage space too 🙂
how many students do you have? I was trying to count tables…your room is so fresh , cozy and neat! Wow!
I have anywhere from 18-22. We are very lucky that way. How about you?
I can't wait to set up my room this year and share more pictures!!! These are so outdated! Thanks for the compliments! 🙂
I just have to ask about your student pointers. Do you have something in the container to hold the pointers up, or are they all just in there?
The pointers are just dowels with a cute wooden "creature or thing" hot glued to the top. All the little dowels are just sitting in the container. The container size happened to be perfect for the dowels. (hobby lobby is where I shopped for pointers and containers)
I love your classroom; it looks very inviting. Oh, I have a view of a brick wall that is 8 feet away.
Your classroom looks great. I was wondering where you got you reading strategies that are on your display board from. I did try to comment through your facebook page but it wouldn't post the comment.
I think she got them from The CAFE Book: Engaging All Students in Daily Literary Assessment and Instruction by Gail Boushey and Joan Moser (Apr 28, 2009) . They also wrote the Daily Five.
I love your room! So cute and cozy! The only thing I would change is the word "diamond" to "rhombus!" Diamonds belong in your ears, on your fingers, or around your neck! 🙂
Where did you get your book barn? Did you make it?
